"How difficult is it to read delivery instructions?"

KnowHow tried to deliver an item today without calling first as requested to ensure someone was at our property. Rang KnowHow and they confirmed that the instructions were clearly visible on the delivery note. They then informed me that they can only deliver in another 4 hour slot which they are currently unable to tell me until I receive it by text. Unable to contact the store direct as all communication is centralised. Store is 2 miles away and item is from the showroom floor so no great distance involved. A bit of common sense would go a long way..
